Official report: Voting week has ended and results are in
After a week of voting with a choice of three parties, the elections have ended.
The official results are as follows:
@PPPPP Party (Purple Paper People's Party; Proper Pop-Up Purple Paper People's Party):
54.5% of the vote
@Rick Astley Electoral Party (Vote4Rick; Rick Astley Party):
27.3% of the vote
@Neil (lil' guigi from Slovakia) (Neil MacDonald; True Canadians Party):
18.2% of the vote
* Automatic rounding may have occurred; percentages may not add up exactly to 100.
This means that the @PPPPP Party (@Justin (Binh) has won the election and is now the @Co-owner of yEAh Games. Changes to roles may take up to one week from today.
The new co-owner is obligated (under the oath of yEAh law) to fulfill their promises listed in #candidate-info or on this page.
Anyone who voted is entitled to Y10 000; funds will be distributed during the next few weeks.
⠀⠀Anyone who did not vote may be demoted in the following weeks. You can appeal this demotion in the ycourt if requested.

The next yEAh Elections will be taking place in October, or, if requested, sometime during the summer.

Analysis by team: We've waited a while, but the results are in! Revealed at 10pm EST on June the 6th, 2022.
And our new co-owner is the Proper Pop-Up Purple Paper People's Party run by Binh Nguyen! Binh Nguyen is now elected for his second term; being elected previously (as a coalition), in a draw-election with Roan Ly, in October 2021.
The PPPPParty's promises were:
- Automation of the yEAhconomy
- "Let the Economy of yEAh Games be automated. If this party is to be re-elected, purchasing/trading yollars will soon be much simpler, with the use of commands. No manual management will be required- all work shall be done by @yEAh. Given enough time, the yEAh Games Stock Market shall be automated as well, updating daily with all calculations done internally. "
- YeeBot Discs
- "YeeBot Discs shall be distributed to everyone every now and then in yollars-trading for a fair price. ⠀⠀This may (or may not) provoke a new subeconomy of tradeable, musical goods. Given enough time, more custom YeeBot Discs will be produced, released and distributed as well."
- Decoration and Housekeeping
- "As of now, the virtual home of yEAh Games is, quite frankly, visually unappealing. All 82 channels are grey and boring, and a great majority remains unused. With the re-election of the Proper Pop-Up Purple Paper People’s Party, channels will be decorated with a bit more colour, to spice things up. Channels will be renamed to add atmosphere, such as “#church” instead of “book-of-religion”. Unused channels will also be archived every now and then."
As this candidate fulfilled all of his promises last term and was quite productive, we here at the administrative team of yEAh Games are very excited to see what else this promising candidate does while in power. More updates will come about the new party in power in the days and weeks to come.
